Robert Mays U13 Girls compete in FA Community Cup

Students from Robert Mays School represented Aldershot FC at a competition in Bournemouth on 2nd February 2010. The girls qualified by winning a tournament held at Frogmore Community College in January.

Rushmoor and Hart Sportshall Athletics

Over 200 chidren from Rushmoor and Hart participated in Sportshall Athletics festivals organised by NEHSSP during the first week of February 2010.

The winning school from each of the two festivals will go on to represent the NEHSSP in the County finals at the Mountbatten Centre, Portsmouth on 29th March 2010.

NEHSSP Year 3/4 Tag Rugby Festival

Over 170 players from schools across Hart and Rushmoor took part in the annual Year 3/4 Tag Rugby Festival at Aldershot Park on Tuesday 24th November. The festival was hosted and supported by Aldershot and Fleet Rugby Club who provided facilities and referees for the festival. The year 3 & 4 pupils were given the opportunity to show of their Rugby skills in a friendly tournament which saw schools play at least five matches each.

Yateley KS3 boys head to regional finals

The first of four NEHSSP badminton tournaments for secondary schools was held at Cove School on Monday 9th November 2009. 10 boys' teams represented 7 schools, and competition was fierce. Two qualified Young Badminton Officials from Cove School ensured that scores were accurate throughout the tournament.

Manor Juniors win Quicksticks Hockey Tournament

Well done to Manor Junior School who won the first ever NEHSSP Quicksticks Hockey Tournament held at the start of November. Quicksticks is a brand new game for 7-11 year-olds which has been specifically designed to introduce hockey to children who have little or no prior knowledge of hockey.

100 girls take part in annual football tournament

Over 100 girls from 13 schools took part in the annual girls football tournament held at Velmead Junior school. The teams were divided into two groups with the top two teams in each group progressing to the semi finals. The group stages provided some wonderful attacking play with plenty of goals. Each group was finally decided in the last round of matches were eventually Newlands and Velmead qualified from Group A, and St Josephs and Westfield advanced from Group B.

Year launched with first PLT day!
